Meet Our Speakers
Tory Summey is an associate in the Charlotte office of Parker Poe, Attorneys and Counselors at Law, where he focuses on employment counseling and litigation. He has represented multistate employers in various industries, including retail, government contracting, life sciences, health care, technology, and charitable foundations. Tory has experience at the trial and appellate levels of state and federal courts, including the North Carolina Business Court, the N.C. Court of Appeals, the N.C. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Tory also represents clients in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the North Carolina Department of Labor. Tory received his law degree from Wake Forest University, where he was a senior editor for the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law and a teaching assistant.
Dom Lerario is an associate in the Charlotte office of Parker Poe, Attorneys and Counselors at Law, where he focuses his practice on international business, economic development, and mergers and acquisitions. He has particular experience in the manufacturing, financial services, fintech, health care, and software industries. He has represented a variety of public and private companies, including global financial institutions, private equity sponsors, life sciences companies, hospitals, and energy companies. Dom is fluent in Spanish and highly proficient in Mandarin. He has extensive travel and work experience in Asia and Latin America. He also maintains an active pro bono practice representing asylum applicants in the Charlotte Immigration Court. Dom received his law degree from Duke University, where he was the symposium editor for the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law and a student attorney with the school's Start-Up Ventures Clinic.
