Join the Matthews Chamber and participating Matthews Area Businesses as you answer trivia questions, take pictures, and rediscover your hometown!
What Is the Hometown Holiday Stroll& Scavenger Hunt?
The Hometown Holiday Stroll is an online scavenger hunt using a downloadable app called GooseChase. Participants are required to complete different tasks to win points. These points add up to a final number that will determine the winner of our grand prize!
Register your team to participate - A fun way to rediscover the Matthews we know and love during the holidays!!
Participants will download the free GooseChase App and go on a virtual hunt for businesses and places around Matthews.
This interactive app allows you to upload photos and videos of your adventures around town.
The team who earns the most points wins the grand prize, a basket filled with surprises from businesses around Matthews.
Entry for teams to participate in the Hometown Holiday Stroll and Scavenger Hunt is FREE! Just download GooseChase to your smart device!
While the GooseChase App is active from December 1st - December 7th for visiting participating businesses, downtown business stroll takes place from 2 pm - 4 pm on Saturday December 7th. Start your stroll at the Matthews Town Green and end at Stumptown Park - just in time for the Winter Wonderlights.
The first 100 children to complete the stroll receive a special Matthews Christmas Ornament!
