Relief Supplies Collection for Western NC Region & Beyond

Help with the loss and devastation in our beloved Western NC region and beyond.  

The Matthews United Methodist Gym (801 South Trade St.) is a drop off and staging point for supplies headed to Western NC later this week. Volunteers will be receiving items each day from 9am-8pm through this Thursday, October 3. 

We greatly appreciate any communication you can send to get the word out to fellow Chamber members, should they be able to donate.

Supply List:

-Bottled water of any size, especially 1-gallon or multi-gallon jugs
-Electrolyte packets like Gatorade and bottles of Gatorade
-Water purification tablets
-Non-perishable food (canned & dry goods), especially MREs (Scout camping style: boil the water & add to make the pasta for example)
-Disposable utensils
-Cleaning supplies (disinfectants, paper towels, gloves) & large garbage bags
-Hygiene Kits OR soap, shampoo, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products
-Baby supplies (diapers, ready-made formula – does not need water, and wipes)
