The Matthews Chamber of Commerce is embarking on a new Shop. Play. Eat. & Win! Local campaign this holiday shopping season. This campaign highlights the Matthews business community, while featuring a variety of merchants, products and services.

This “event” will run from November 5^th through December 5^th and gives patrons of participating businesses and non-profits the opportunity to take a trip through Matthews to complete their passport! Once they have completed each square on their passport, they will return it to the Matthews Chamber office to be included for the drawing. Drawing will be held virtually for a lucky patron to earn a cash prize for supporting Matthews!!

The goal of this Shop. Play. Eat. & Win! Local campaign is to encourage people to support Matthews but also give back to the community at the same time. We will be combining the virtual drawing of this event in conjunction with our Annual Gingerbread House Contest in hopes that we can increase traffic to the Visitor Center safely to view all of the gingerbread house entries.

We hope that this support local campaign contributes to the success of Matthews businesses as well as brings awareness to the wonderful organizations we have throughout the community, not only to our residents but to the surrounding Matthews areas.

Fees/Admission

Want your chance to win some extra $$$ this Holiday Season? Pick up your Matthews Home for the Holidays Passport at the Matthews Chamber office located at 210 Matthews Station Street or at a participating location. Get your passport stamped at participating locations for your purchases or donations. Some locations have offered no purchase necessary (included as a free space!) on the passport, while others require a food or monetary donation to get your stamp. Some require a purchase at their location, while others just want you to come in and grab a goody bag to get your stamp. Be sure to read exactly what is required. Enjoy your time in our town and thank you for supporting local Matthews businesses and non-profits!!

Must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Your passport stamps must match our Master Stamped Copy to be included in the drawing. Your passport must be completed and returned to the Chamber Office by 5pm on December 4 to be included in the drawing. On December 5th, the Grand Prize Winner of up to $1,000 will be announced via Facebook Live. You do not need to be present to win.
