About Us
Founded in 1963, Central Piedmont Community College has eight locations to serving Mecklenburg County as a champion of students, a catalyst for opportunity, and a provider of exceptional learning experiences. Central Piedmont provides real-world, affordable, hands-on education that will transform their lives and strengthen the economic, social, and cultural environment of Mecklenburg County. At a fraction of the cost, students learn by doing, receiving a combination of technical and soft skills training from quality faculty who prepare them to enter the workforce and make a difference in their family, business, community, and world.
Levine Campus offers both college credit curriculum courses and non-credit continuing education courses. Most curriculum classes are general education courses for students seeking transfer to four-year colleges or for students seeking two-year associate degrees. The campus also houses degree programs in Automotive Systems Technology, Nurse Aide, and Medical Assisting. A wide array of Corporate and Continuing Education non-degree and non-transfer courses are also offered for those wishing to acquire professional workplace credentials, training, and skills or explore areas of personal interest.
The campus is home to the Levine Middle College High School and also hosts the Georgia Tucker Performing Arts Hall, a black-box style theater and event space with seating for 120.
