The Queen City's Professional Soccer Team - Charlotte Independence plays locally at American Legion Memorial Stadium in uptown Charlotte, following six years of play at the Matthews SportsPlex. We are proud to call Matthews part of our core and our team trains at the SportsPlex, and lives in apartments next door. The club is happy to support the small businesses of Matthews
