Matthews Health & Rehab is a 59,000 square foot skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Historic Downtown Matthews, NC. Matthews & Rehab is designed around patient and resident needs with those needs as the focal point of all interior and exterior design. Since 1994, Matthews Health & Rehab has been a dedicated skilled nursing provider in the Matthews area. Matthews Health & Rehab offers both short-term rehabilitation and ong-term skilled nursing care. Our mission and philosophy is focused around family centered care dedicated to the highest standards of quality. Rehabilitation / Sub-acute Care (Short-Term): The sub-acute short-term care unit is a 33 bed unit The expected length of stay for short-term care varies from 1-3 weeks depending on medical needs. care provided on this unit is comprehensive nursing and intensive rehabilitation. The goal of the Rehab/Sub-acute unit is to return the patient to their highest level of function so they may safely return home. Skilled Nursing (Long-term): The skilled nursing units are focused on providing long-term care skilled nursing care. Residents in these units require a wide variety care and services for residents requiring long-term skilled nursing care.
