John R. Urban currently serves on the Boards of the Matthews Free Medical Clinic, The Matthews Historical Foundation, and QUAD- The Four Town Alliance of South Charlotte Communities. He Co-Chairs the Red Brick Partnership for Downtown Matthews & serves at Forest Hill Church. John Urban is a licensed Architect and Owner of Urban Architectural Group PA located in Matthews. Most notably, his firm is responsible for the design of the Matthews North End Mixed Use District, Point Blank Range and the historic renovation of the Massey Clark House. A Matthews resident for over18 years, John and his wife, Terry, have four daughters and two grandchildren.
